# Blockstate (blockstate)

> Deterministic statechart runtime, static AST compiler (`blockstate check`), compile-time Lengauer-Tarjan dominator verifier (`blockstate verify`), and zero-trust `MappingProxyType` tool execution enclave for regulated enterprise Python 3.12+ AI workflows.

Blockstate removes workflow orchestration and tool-routing authority from Large Language Models inside regulated boundaries (retail banking, mortgage origination, motor and health insurance claims, NHS/clinical triage, and telecommunications). In Blockstate, pure Python owns 100% of state transitions, guard conditions, and stage-scoped memory dispatch tables, while the LLM operates strictly as a bounded semantic worker for Pass 1 slot extraction (`<100ms`) and Pass 2 response rendering (`<15ms` canned template or scoped LLM). Outer orchestrators (LangGraph, Microsoft Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, AWS Bedrock) mount Blockstate via a 1-line `as_tool()` adapter.
